1We use the term “autism” to refer to what is medically known as “Autism Spectrum Disorders.” We choose this expression for its ease of understanding and readability. Autism is a complex and multifaceted neurodevelopmental condition that varies significantly in its presentation and severity from one person to another. The spectrum encompasses a range of challenges and abilities, highlighting the diversity and uniqueness of each individual’s experience with autism.
